CITIES XL embodies the next generation of citybuilders. It allows players to build and develop cities on realistic 3D maps thanks to an incredible collection of unique buildings. Virtual mayors will need to find the right match between social services, leisure activities, exceptional events and job offers within their cities in order to feed, make work and entertain their citizens. Realism is pushed to its limits with cities bigger, more realistic and more sophisticated than ever.

Les fonOptional features and services of the game's online mode will allow players to create interconnected cities on virtual and persistent planets. By combining fantastic single-player gaming with the social and multiplayer aspects of an MMO, CITIES XL redefines the genre by offering more variety, a larger playing field, and many extra layers of play.

GEMs (Gameplay Extension Modules) allow players to move from the position of mayor to that of CEO. From the car dealership to the manager of a ski resort, players will have a wide range of sectors to manage.
